Team training for property management software

Team training here means teaching your people your workflows in your systems, rather than running through a generic feature tour they will have forgotten by Friday.

The problem

What this actually costs you today

Most teams use a fraction of what their software does, and build workarounds for the rest. The workarounds become the process, and then the process becomes the thing nobody can change.

Vendor training does not fix this, because it teaches the software rather than your job. Your team does not need to know what the reports module can do. They need to know how to produce your owner statement.

How it works

What we build, step by step

  1. We start from your workflows

The actual sequences your team runs. Training is built around those, using your data, in your account.

  2. We teach by role

What your leasing agent needs is not what your bookkeeper needs. Sitting everyone through both is how training gets a reputation for being a waste of a morning.

  3. We record it

Short walkthroughs of the sequences people actually forget, kept where they work. The next hire watches them instead of shadowing someone for a fortnight.

  4. We come back once

A follow-up session a few weeks later, once real questions have surfaced. That session is usually worth more than the first one.

What changes

What changes for your team

  • The workarounds go away, which usually removes a spreadsheet or two with them.
  • Onboarding a new hire stops consuming a senior person’s week.
  • People stop being afraid of the parts of the system they were never shown.

No rip and replace

It runs on the software you already have.

Your property management software stays your system of record. Nothing here asks your team to log into somewhere new, and nothing here replaces the platform you already pay for.

Some platforms don’t open their API to most customers. That doesn’t block us. Almost everything we build runs off a report your software can already email out on a schedule.

Questions

What people ask about this

Which platforms can you train on?

AppFolio, Buildium, Rent Manager, Yardi Breeze, DoorLoop, Propertyware and Rentvine, plus the tools around them — email, phone, document signing, accounting. The systems around the edges are usually where the workarounds live.

Remote or in person?

Either. Remote sessions are shorter, easier to schedule and easier to record. In person is better when you are changing something that affects how the whole office works.

What if we hire someone next month?

That is what the recordings are for. They are yours, they cover your workflows, and they do not go stale the way a vendor’s generic course does.
