Property management software migration support
Migration support means moving to a new platform with your history intact, your balances reconciled, and your team able to work the whole way through.
The problem
What this actually costs you today
The software change is the easy half. The hard half is that your team has to keep collecting rent and answering tenants while it happens.
Migrations go wrong in predictable places: balances that do not reconcile, documents that did not come across, owner statements that look different enough to trigger a dozen phone calls, and a team quietly keeping the old system open because the new one is not ready.
How it works
What we build, step by step
We decide what actually moves
Not everything should. Active leases, balances, owner records and open work orders have to. Nine years of closed tickets probably do not — they get archived where you can still reach them.
We reconcile before we move, not after
Balances are checked in the old system first. Migrating a discrepancy just means finding it later, in a system nobody knows yet.
We rehearse it
At least one full dry run into a test environment, with your people doing their real jobs in it, before anything is final.
We are there through go-live
The first month-end in a new system is the moment that decides how your team feels about it. That is when support matters, not the week before.
What changes
What changes for your team
- Your team is not running two systems in parallel for a quarter.
- Owners see a statement that looks deliberate rather than one that looks broken.
- The things that did not migrate are a documented decision instead of a discovery.
No rip and replace
It runs on the software you already have.
Your property management software stays your system of record. Nothing here asks your team to log into somewhere new, and nothing here replaces the platform you already pay for.
Some platforms don’t open their API to most customers. That doesn’t block us. Almost everything we build runs off a report your software can already email out on a schedule.
Questions
What people ask about this
How long does a migration take?
For a portfolio this size, usually a few weeks of preparation and a defined cutover, not months. The variable is data quality in the system you are leaving, which is why the audit comes first.
Will we lose our history?
Not if it is planned. Some history moves into the new system, some is archived in a readable form you can search. What matters is that the decision is made deliberately rather than discovered afterwards.
Can you migrate us onto a platform you did not recommend?
Yes. If the decision is already made, we start from there. We will tell you once if we think it is the wrong fit, and then get on with doing it properly.
